COUNCIL MEETING March 14,93 Opening time 5:15 p.m. Members present: Ron Snell, Johnathan Titus, Jim Perkins, Nash Garcia Pastor Randy Stephens Clerk Irene Snell Ron opened by explaining to the Council that he had found a 1979 mini bus for transporting the Youth group, he stated that it seemed in good mechanical condition and the price is $1,750.00 and insurance coverage would be approx, $500.00 annually. Pastor expressed concern about safety factor in transporting youth in the Snell's van then gave Council a chance to express their feelings and asked for their support in purchasing the bus. Johnathan said we should " go for it". Vote was taken on going ahead with the purchase of the bus and it was voted YES by everyone. Discussion was held on how youth could do some fundraisers to help pay the expenses of the bus and raise money for campers to go to youth camp selling peanut brittle was one idea that was presented. To purchase the bus the church will borrow the money from First Bank Credit card in the Snell's name which is the same account money borrowed for pews is. Amount borrowed will be $1750.00 for bus purchase 300.00 for taxes, insurance, & repairs ---------- $ 2050.00 total borrowed for bus at 10.96% interest rate approx. $80.00 monthly payment Bus will be delivered by March 21,93.
