WEISER STAFF MEETING

                           March 16, 1992



Present:    Irene    Ron    Dottie    Barbara    Sherry

Begin at: 8:11 a.m.



BARBARA'S CORNER:  Barbara wants teachers to encourage children 
to eat

the Corn Beef tomorrow for Irish Culture Day,  Barbara asked for

suggestions to help children like coleslaw better, it was 
suggested

that more fruit such as apples or pears be added to it.  She 
also asked

Ron about putting up light and if Ron would call the BUG People 
(Pest

control) - Barb also wanted to know about getting stove hood put 
up, Ron

will talk to Gwen about it.  Barb also needs Ron to change some 
light

bulbs and mop the pantry.  Barb brought up about getting comp 
time for

First-Aid training in May, wanted to know if it might be 
possible to

leave  half a day earlier on May 12th - Dottie will talk to 
Kathy.

Dottie let staff know that anyone who misses the scheduled First-
Aide

class will be responsible to get card renewed on their own.  
Dottie

will try to sheduele class not to be on a Monday so Kim can 
attend.

Barbara reminded staff to inform her when no one is available to

answer the phone so she will know to do it.  The Answering 
Machine is

back!!!



RON'S CORNER:   Ron asked staff to limit calls when he is on the 
morn-

ing routes in case he needs to get a hold of the teachers when 
parents

cancel as bus riders.  Call Waiting was a suggestion!

Bus aides for the week were given to Ron.

Sherry & Mike are donating paint for the extra swing set.  Kim 
has

checked with the Boy Scouts about doing a Bike Path on the 
Playground,

she hasn't heard anything back yet.

Darwin Adams (Fire-Inspector) informed Ron that the furnance 
room has

to have a fire door or tires to be removed.



TEACHERS CORNER:   Teachers are working on their classrooms 
today, Sheep

Ranch field trip is scheduled for next week.  Sherry will be 
checking

into getting some articles in the local paper about what we are 
doing

at Head Start.  Teachers need to decide who will volunteer for 
the

Children's Fair on April 4th at West Park Plaza for 2 hours - 
Discussed

Zoo trip parents are not into doing a fund raiser for it. Barb 
asked

if staff could get doanations for Zoo or the Funny Money Auction.
  YES!



DOTTIE'S CORNER:   Child Find will be done by Head Start, CDC, 
IMC,

Pre-School and private Day Cares, to be done on May 4th at the 
Weiser

Armory.

Parent Fair for April was discussed, Dottie will send a note 
home to

the parents and let them decide when and time they would prefer 
to have

it, and training ideas they would like to have.

Next year Dottie wants to do an Open House  or a picnic in the 
Fall

before school begins, something to think about.

Dottie informed staff that we would get our 5% COLA raises in 
the Fall!!

Dottie has gotten some linolium and wall paper books doanated 
for the

classrooms.   THANKS DOTTIE!!
