chaldeans While he [was] yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The {Chaldeans} made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. chaldeans Behold the land of the {Chaldeans}; this people was not, [till] the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; [and] he brought it to ruin. chaldeans Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the {Chaldeans}, whose cry [is] in the ships. chaldeans Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: [there is] no throne, O daughter of the {Chaldeans}: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. chaldeans Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the {Chaldeans}: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms. chaldeans All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these [things]? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the {Chaldeans}, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it [even] to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. chaldeans Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that [are] in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and [against] the {Chaldeans}, which besiege you without the walls, and I will as semble them into the midst of this city. chaldeans He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the {Chaldeans} that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. chaldeans And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand [of them] whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the {Chaldeans} for [their] good. chaldeans And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, [that] I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the {Chaldeans}, and will make it perpetual desolations. chaldeans And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the {Chaldeans}, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; chaldeans And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the {Chaldeans}, ye shall not prosper. chaldeans Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the {Chaldeans}, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is co me to pass; and, behold, thou seest [it]. chaldeans And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the {Chaldeans}, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: chaldeans And the {Chaldeans}, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. chaldeans And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, [It is] desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans They come to fight with the {Chaldeans}, but [it is] to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city. chaldeans But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the {Chaldeans}, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem . chaldeans Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the {Chaldeans} that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem. chaldeans And the {Chaldeans} shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire. chaldeans Thus saith the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The {Chaldeans} shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart. chaldeans For though ye had smitten the whole army of the {Chaldeans} that fight against you, and there remained [but] wounded men among them, [yet] should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire. chaldeans And it came to pass, that when the army of the {Chaldeans} was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army, chaldeans And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward [was] there, whose name [was] Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans Then said Jeremiah, [It is] false; I fall not away to the {Chaldeans}. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes. chaldeans Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the {Chaldeans} shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live. chaldeans But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the {Chaldeans}, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand. chaldeans And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the {Chaldeans}, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. chaldeans So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the {Chaldeans}: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire. chaldeans But the {Chaldeans}' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment u pon him. chaldeans And the {Chaldeans} burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem. chaldeans And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the {Chaldeans}: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you. chaldeans As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the {Chaldeans}, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put [them] in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken. chaldeans Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him, [even] with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the {Chaldeans} that were found there, [and] the men of war. chaldeans Because of the {Chaldeans}: for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. chaldeans But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the {Chaldeans}, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon. chaldeans The word that the LORD spake against Babylon [and] against the land of the {Chaldeans} by Jeremiah the prophet. chaldeans Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the {Chaldeans}, and be as the he goats before the flocks. chaldeans The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this [is] the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans A sword [is] upon the {Chaldeans}, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise [men]. chaldeans Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the {Chaldeans}: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make [thei r] habitation desolate with them. chaldeans Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the {Chaldeans}, and [they that are] thrust through in her streets. chaldeans A sound of a cry [cometh] from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the {Chaldeans}: chaldeans Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which [was] by the king's garden; (now the {Chaldeans} [were] by the city round about:) an d they went by the way of the plain. chaldeans But the army of the {Chaldeans} pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him. chaldeans And all the army of the {Chaldeans}, that [were] with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about. chaldeans Also the pillars of brass that [were] in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brazen sea that [was] in the house of the LORD, the {Chaldeans} brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon. chaldeans The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the {Chaldeans} by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him. chaldeans My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon [to] the land of the {Chaldeans}; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. chaldeans And [that] she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the {Chaldeans} portrayed with vermilion, chaldeans The Babylonians, and all the {Chaldeans}, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, [and] all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses. chaldeans Children in whom [was] no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as [had] ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learni ng and the tongue of the {Chaldeans}. chaldeans Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the {Chaldeans}, for to show the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. chaldeans Then spake the {Chaldeans} to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation. chaldeans The king answered and said to the {Chaldeans}, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill. chaldeans The {Chaldeans} answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can show the king's matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that] asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean . chaldeans Wherefore at that time certain {Chaldeans} came near, and accused the Jews. chaldeans Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof. chaldeans The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the {Chaldeans}, and the soothsayers. [And] the king spake, and said to the wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof, shall be cl othed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. chaldeans There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom [is] the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the kin g, [I say], thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, {Chaldeans}, [and] soothsayers; chaldeans In that night was Belshazzar the king of the {Chaldeans} slain. chaldeans In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the {Chaldeans}; chaldeans For, lo, I raise up the {Chaldeans}, [that] bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces [that are] not theirs. ~~~~~~
