mortar And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for {mortar}. mortar And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in {mortar}, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, [was] with rigour. mortar And they shall take other stones, and put [them] in the place of those stones; and he shall take other {mortar}, and shall plaster the house. mortar And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the {mortar} of the house; and he shall carry [them] forth out of the city into an unclean place. mortar And] the people went about, and gathered [it], and ground [it] in mills, or beat [it] in a {mortar}, and baked [it] in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. mortar Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a {mortar} among wheat with a pestle, [yet] will not his foolishness depart from him. mortar I have raised up [one] from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as [upon] {mortar}, and as the potter treadeth clay. mortar Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and [there was] no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered [{mortar}]: mortar Say unto them which daub [it] with untempered [{mortar}], that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend [it]. mortar So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered [{mortar}], and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD. mortar Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered [{mortar}], and will say unto you, The wall [is] no [more], neither they that daubed it; mortar And her prophets have daubed them with untempered [{mortar}], seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. mortar Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the {mortar}, make strong the brickkiln. ~~~~~~
