reed <1KI14 -15> For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a {reed} is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provokin g the LORD to anger. reed <2KI18 -21> Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised {reed}, [even] upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so [is] Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him. reed He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the {reed}, and fens. reed Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken {reed}, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so [is] Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. reed A bruised {reed} shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. reed And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I [am] the LORD, because they have been a staff of {reed} to the house of Israel. reed And he brought me thither, and, behold, [there was] a man, whose appearance [was] like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring {reed}; and he stood in the gate. reed And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits [long] by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one {reed}; and the height, one reed. reed And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring {reed} of six cubits [long] by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. reed And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits [long] by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one {reed}. reed Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, [which was] one {reed} broad; and the other threshold [of the gate, which was] one reed broad. reed Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the stairs thereof, and measured the threshold of the gate, [which was] one reed broad; and the other threshold [of the gate, which was] one {reed} broad. reed And [every] little chamber [was] one reed long, and one {reed} broad; and between the little chambers [were] five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within [was] one reed. reed And [every] little chamber [was] one {reed} long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers [were] five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within [was] one reed. reed And [every] little chamber [was] one reed long, and one reed broad; and between the little chambers [were] five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate within [was] one {reed}. reed He measured also the porch of the gate within, one {reed}. reed I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundations of the side chambers [were] a full {reed} of six great cubits. reed He measured the east side with the measuring {reed}, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. reed He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring {reed} round about. reed He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring {reed} round about. reed He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring {reed}. reed He turned about to the west side, [and] measured five hundred reeds with the measuring {reed}. reed And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A {reed} shaken with the wind? reed A bruised {reed} shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. reed And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put [it] upon his head, and a {reed} in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! reed And they spit upon him, and took the {reed}, and smote him on the head. reed And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled [it] with vinegar, and put [it] on a {reed}, and gave him to drink. reed And they smote him on the head with a {reed}, and did spit upon him, and bowing their] knees worshipped him. reed And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it] on a {reed}, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. reed And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A {reed} shaken with the wind? reed And there was given me a {reed} like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. reed And he that talked with me had a golden {reed} to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. reed And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the {reed}, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. ~~~~~~
