lo And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, {lo}, in her mouth [was] an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. lo And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, {lo}, one born in my house is mine heir. lo And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, {lo}, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. lo And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, {lo}, three men stood by him: and when he saw [them], he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, lo And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, {lo}, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard [it] in the tent door, which [was] behind him. lo And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, {lo}, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. lo And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, {lo}, there [were] three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone [was] upon the well's mouth. lo And he said, {Lo}, [it is] yet high day, neither [is it] time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go [and] feed [them]. lo For, behold, we [were] binding sheaves in the field, and, {lo}, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. lo And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, {lo}, [it is] even in my sack: and their heart failed [them], and they were afraid, saying one to another, What [is] this [that] God hath done unto us? lo Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: {lo}, [here is] seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. lo And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, {lo}, God hath showed me also thy seed. lo My father made me swear, saying, {Lo}, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again. lo Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; {lo}, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand. lo And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; {lo}, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me. lo And the LORD said unto Moses, {Lo}, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. lo And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, {Lo}, we [be here], and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned. lo And Balaam said unto Balak, {Lo}, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak. lo And he returned unto him, and, {lo}, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab. lo For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: {lo}, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. lo Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, {lo}, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. lo And, {lo}, he hath given occasions of speech [against her], saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these [are the tokens of] my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city. lo And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while [the children of] Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, {lo}, I [am] this day fourscore and fi ve years old. lo And when Gideon was come, behold, [there was] a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, {lo}, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, a nd overturned it, that the tent lay along. lo For, {lo}, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. lo <1SA4 -13> And when he came, {lo}, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told [it], all the city cried out. lo <1SA10 -2> When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, {lo}, thy father hath left the c are of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? lo <1SA14 -43> Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that [was] in mine hand, [and], {lo}, I must die. lo <1SA21 -14> Then said Achish unto his servants, {Lo}, ye see the man is mad: wherefore [then] have ye brought him to me? lo <2SA1 -6> And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, {lo}, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him. lo <2SA15 -24> And {lo} Zadok also, and all the Levites [were] with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city. lo <2SA24 -17> And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, {Lo}, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's ho use. lo <1KI1 -22> And, {lo}, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. lo <1KI1 -51> And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, {lo}, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword. lo <1KI3 -12> Behold, I have done according to thy words: {lo}, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. lo <2KI7 -6> For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, [even] the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, {Lo}, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and th e kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. lo <2KI7 -15> And they went after them unto Jordan: and, {lo}, all the way [was] full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king. lo <1CH17 -1> Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, {Lo}, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [remaineth] under curtains. lo <1CH21 -23> And Ornan said unto David, Take [it] to thee, and let my lord the king do [that which is] good in his eyes: {lo}, I give [thee] the oxen [also] for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering ; I give it all. lo <2CH16 -11> And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, {lo}, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. lo <2CH25 -19> Thou sayest, {Lo}, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to [thine] hurt, that thou shouldest fall, [even] thou, and Judah with thee? lo <2CH27 -7> Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, {lo}, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. lo <2CH29 -9> For, {lo}, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives [are] in captivity for this. lo Yet now our flesh [is] as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, {lo}, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and [some] of our daughters are brought unto bondage [already]: neither [is it] i n our power [to redeem them]; for other men have our lands and vineyards. lo And, {lo}, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. lo {Lo}, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein. lo {Lo} this, we have searched it, so it [is]; hear it, and know thou [it] for thy good. lo {Lo}, he goeth by me, and I see [him] not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. lo If [I speak] of strength, {lo}, [he is] strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time [to plead]? lo {Lo}, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it. lo {Lo}, their good [is] not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me. lo {Lo}, these [are] parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? lo {Lo}, all these [things] worketh God oftentimes with man, lo {Lo} now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly. lo For, {lo}, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. lo Yet he passed away, and, {lo}, he [was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. lo Then said I, {Lo}, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me, lo I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: {lo}, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. lo For, {lo}, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. lo {Lo}, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his wickedness. lo {Lo}, [then] would I wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. Selah. lo For, {lo}, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not [for] my transgression, nor [for] my sin, O LORD. lo To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, [which were] of old; {lo}, he doth send out his voice, [and that] a mighty voice. lo For, {lo}, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. lo For, {lo}, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. lo For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, {lo}, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. lo For, {lo}, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. lo {Lo}, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward. lo {Lo}, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood. lo For [there is] not a word in my tongue, [but], {lo}, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. lo And, {lo}, it was all grown over with thorns, [and] nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. lo I communed with mine own heart, saying, {Lo}, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all [they] that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. lo {Lo}, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions. lo For, {lo}, the winter is past, the rain is over [and] gone; lo And he laid [it] upon my mouth, and said, {Lo}, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. lo And it shall be said in that day, {Lo}, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. lo {Lo}, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so [is] Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. lo Behold, these shall come from far: and, {lo}, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. lo Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who [is] he [that] shall condemn me? {lo}, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up. lo For, {lo}, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. lo I beheld the earth, and, {lo}, [it was] without form, and void; and the heavens, and they [had] no light. lo I beheld the mountains, and, {lo}, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. lo I beheld, and, {lo}, [there was] no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. lo I beheld, and, {lo}, the fruitful place [was] a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, [and] by his fierce anger. lo {Lo}, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it [is] a mighty nation, it [is] an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say. lo How do ye say, We [are] wise, and the law of the LORD [is] with us? {Lo}, certainly in vain made he [it]; the pen of the scribes [is] in vain. lo The wise [men] are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: {lo}, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom [is] in them? lo For, {lo}, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. lo For, {lo}, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. lo Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, {lo}, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, an d none shall make [him] afraid. lo Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, {lo}, all the princes sat there, [even] Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zede kiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes. lo For, {lo}, I will make thee small among the heathen, [and] despised among men. lo For, {lo}, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows [shall be] as of a mighty expe rt man; none shall return in vain. lo And when I looked, behold, an hand [was] sent unto me; and, {lo}, a roll of a book [was] therein; lo Then he said unto me, {Lo}, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith. lo Then I beheld, and {lo} a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. lo Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to an ger: and, {lo}, they put the branch to their nose. lo Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and [there was] no peace; and one built up a wall, and, {lo}, others daubed it with untempered [mortar]: lo {Lo}, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where [is] the daubing wherewith ye have daubed [it]? lo Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, {lo}, he had given his hand, and hath done all these [things], he shall not escape. lo Now, {lo}, [if] he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like, lo As for] his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did [that] which [is] not good among his people, {lo}, even he shall die in his iniquity. lo For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, {lo}, thus have they done in the midst of mine house. lo And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger [was] sent; and, {lo}, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments, lo In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, {lo}, it cometh. lo Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, {lo}, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword. lo And, {lo}, thou [art] unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not. lo And when this cometh to pass, ({lo}, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. lo And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and, {lo}, [they were] very dry. lo And when I beheld, {lo}, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but [there was] no breath in them. lo Then brought he me into the outward court, and, {lo}, [there were] chambers, and a pavement made for the court round about: thirty chambers [were] upon the pavement. lo For the length of the chambers that [were] in the utter court [was] fifty cubits: and, {lo}, before the temple [were] an hundred cubits. lo He answered and said, {Lo}, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. lo After this I beheld, and {lo} another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. lo But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, {lo}, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. lo Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, {lo}, the prince of Grecia shall come. lo For, {lo}, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant [places] for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns [shall be] in their tabernacles. lo The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, {lo}, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks. lo For, {lo}, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what [is] his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, [is] his name. lo Thus hath the Lord GOD showed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, {lo}, [it was] the latter growth after the king's mowings. lo For, {lo}, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as [corn] is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. lo For, {lo}, I raise up the Chaldeans, [that] bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces [that are] not theirs. lo Ye looked for much, and, {lo}, [it came] to little; and when ye brought [it] home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that [is] waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. lo Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, {lo}, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. lo For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, {lo}, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not delive r [them]. lo For, {lo}, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, [which] shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. lo When they had heard the king, they departed; and, {lo}, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. lo And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, {lo}, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: lo And {lo} a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. lo Then if any man shall say unto you, {Lo}, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. lo And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: {lo}, [there] thou hast [that is] thine. lo And while he yet spake, {lo}, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. lo And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: {lo}, I have told you. lo Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, {lo}, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. lo Then Peter began to say unto him, {Lo}, we have left all, and have followed thee. lo And then if any man shall say to you, {Lo}, here is] Christ; or, lo, he is] there; believe him] not: lo And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is] Christ; or, {lo}, he is] there; believe him] not: lo Rise up, let us go; {lo}, he that betrayeth me is at hand. lo For, {lo}, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. lo And, {lo}, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. lo And, {lo}, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him. lo And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, {lo}, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? lo And he answering said to his] father, {Lo}, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: lo Neither shall they say, {Lo} here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. lo Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, {lo} there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. lo Then Peter said, {Lo}, we have left all, and followed thee. lo No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, {lo}, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. lo But, {lo}, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? lo His disciples said unto him, {Lo}, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. lo Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, {lo}, we turn to the Gentiles. lo Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, {lo}, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. lo Then said I, {Lo}, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. lo Then said he, {Lo}, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. lo And I beheld, and, {lo}, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth . lo And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and {lo} a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. lo And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, {lo}, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; lo After this I beheld, and, {lo}, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; lo And I looked, and, {lo}, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. ~~~~~~
